Today, I witnessed the most amazing thing, which further proves my theory that people will damn near kill themselves to board the metro. I watched as a lady obviously in a hurry to get to her cubicle downtown began running in order to board the train that had already been at the station for a few moments. She ran so fast at about
187 steps per minute, she was running so fast it was as thought she wasn't running at all. Comparable to
Hydroplaning, her feet skid across the tile still moist form early morning dew as she stepped off the escalator leading to the train platform and then the unthinkable happened, she lost her balanced and began to lean forward into a fall. It wasn't any type of fall either, as she fell flat on her belly she skid across the platform like she was riding a skateboard on her stomach. While her body treaded the tile and her chin was significantly scuffed, she watched in humiliation as the train door chimed and people hopped, skipped and brushed past her in their own efforts to board the train without any regard for her well being.

She missed that train this morning, but her injury was further insulted when she dusted herself off, looked up and realized that the next train was arriving in 2 mins!! It was so funny I couldn't laugh. I wonder
why people risk their lives, and the safety of others to board the train. If your always late get you lazy ass up a little earlier in the morning, stop with all the stunts, these are the same idiots that cause those
"sick passenger" delays. I couldn't feel bad for the lady, she was too exaggerated. In life there are always things to slow us down and keep us grounded.
